GE Appliances dishwasher error codes

GE dishwashers show C-codes for drain, fill and heat faults, H2O for no water, and 888 or CFE for the board. GE has no official list.

How to read the stored error log

On most GE dishwashers, hold Start for 5 seconds with the door open to enter the service menu; on models with a hidden display, press Select Cycle and Start together for 5 seconds. The last error shows on the display. Turn power off at the breaker for 60 seconds to reset the board.

Service menus are intended for technicians. Reading the log is harmless; do not change calibration values.
