How to fix E16
- Let the wand cool, then clean the steam tip and wand as your manual describes; a pin or the cleaning tool clears the holes.
- Run a steam purge for a few seconds into the drip tray, following the manual.
- Descale the machine as the manual describes if it is due.
- If steam is still weak with a clean tip, contact Breville or an authorised service centre; the wand or its valve may be restricted internally.

How to check the error log
Open Settings on the touch screen, then About the Machine, then Software version. On that screen tap each bottom corner of the screen several times. Go back to About the Machine and a new Service center mode entry appears. Open it to view the error log.
Clear the log after a repair so you can tell whether the fault has really gone.
