What these parts do

The control board runs everything else, and the display, keypad, door switches, fans and power supply are the parts it depends on.

How they fail

Communication errors between boards, a keypad or touch panel the board cannot read, a door or lock switch that never reports closed, or a supply voltage outside range. These are often wiring or connector faults before they are board faults.

Safe checks first

  1. Power cycle: unplug for five minutes and restart. Communication faults sometimes clear.
  2. Check the mains outlet and cord. Low or unstable supply voltage causes odd codes.
  3. Inspect visible connectors and harnesses for looseness or moisture. Do not open mains-powered electronics unless you are qualified.
  4. A code that returns immediately after a power cycle usually means a part needs replacing.

Appliances carry mains voltage. Unplug before opening anything, and stop where a code's own page tells you to.
