GE Appliances dryer error codes
GE dryers show E-codes for thermistors, the door switch, the motor tachometer and the control panel. GE publishes no consumer code table for dryers, so these meanings come from technician and parts-site compilations that mix platforms.
Treat these meanings as a guide, not GE's official definition: the same code can mean different things on different dryer platforms. Your model's tech sheet is the authority.
How to read the stored error log
GE does not publish a consumer diagnostic-mode sequence for its dryers. Field-service mode and its entry keys differ by platform and are in the technical service manual for your model number. Sequences posted online are for single models and some do not work, so we do not list them. Unplugging for five minutes clears a transient fault.
Service menus are intended for technicians. Reading the log is harmless; do not change calibration values.
