Sunbeam EMM2900 The Compact Barista: lights and beeps
The EMM2900 does not use numbered error codes. It signals with lights and beeps, listed below as Sunbeam’s user guide describes them.
| What you see or hear | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| STANDBY, 1 CUP, 2 CUP and STEAM buttons flash 5 times | The machine needs descaling. | Descale it (see the user guide), then reset to cancel the warning. |
| STANDBY, 1 CUP, 2 CUP and STEAM buttons flash continuously | Sunbeam says the coffee machine is faulty. | Contact Sunbeam Customer Care. |
| 1 CUP and 2 CUP buttons flash rapidly | The dial must be returned to OFF (after more than 215 mL of hot water, or because it was left on), or the thermoblock needs to cool. | Turn the dial to OFF. If the thermoblock needs cooling, turn the dial to HOT WATER for a few seconds. |
| STEAM button flashes rapidly | Steam has been running continuously for more than 3 minutes. | Turn the dial to OFF. |
| Machine beeps | The dial is not in the OFF position. | Return the dial to OFF. |
| Water leaking from the bottom | Too much water in the drip tray, or the machine is damaged. | Empty the drip tray. If it still leaks, contact Customer Care. |
