Sunbeam EMM7200 Café Series Duo: lights and beeps
The EMM7200 does not use numbered error codes. It signals with lights and beeps, listed below as Sunbeam’s user guide describes them.
| What you see or hear | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| FILL TANK light on, machine beeps | The machine is low on water. | Fill the water tank. If no espresso comes out, prime by pressing 1 CUP so water runs through the group head. |
| STANDBY light lit and pulsing | The machine is heating up. | Wait for the READY indicator. |
| Lights dim | Eco mode after 1 hour of inactivity; after a further 4 hours the machine beeps once and switches off. | Press any button to wake it. |
| Red water level indicator visible through the drip tray grill | The drip tray is full. | Empty the drip tray. |
| Control-panel lights “chase” from left to right | A cleaning or descaling cycle is running. | Wait. Four beeps mean the cycle has finished. |
| Beeps and the 1 CUP button flashes (during descaling) | The 14 pump and rest cycles have finished and the machine is ready for the purge. | Rinse the tank, refill with filtered water and press 1 CUP for the purge. |
| Will not turn on or wake from standby | The Hot Water lever and/or the Steam lever is not in the OFF position. | Turn both levers to OFF. |

If the lights do not match
The same light can mean something different on another Sunbeam model, so use the page for your own model number. If nothing here fits, or the machine will not turn on at all, contact Sunbeam Customer Care on 1300 881 861 (10am to 6pm AEST, Monday to Friday); see the Sunbeam page for warranty and claim details.
